    The Meadows board has decided to lock the tennis courts with a combination lock after several residents notified us that non-residents are using the courts. If you want to use the court, email your court chair for the combination and please lock up once finished playing.     Update to Tennis court and Basketball court availability due to Covid-19 related guidelines.

    The Meadows Board of Directors decided to re-open the tennis courts and basketball court at this time. Residents and guests are reminded to follow social distancing guidelines.     Help Care for New Trees in the Meadows

    The Meadows is about to have a new tree planted courtesy of Arlington County’s tree canopy fund! It will be planted in Court 1, facing 33 rd St South at some point in the next few weeks. The county will be planting the tree and providing us with a water bag to use for the first season until its roots are well established, but it will need to be given 20 gallons of water weekly for two years.     Meadows playground, tennis court and basketball court closed in accordance with Arlington county guidelines in response to COVID-19.

    Effective Tuesday, March 24 the Fairlington Meadows Board of directors, following the actions taken by Arlington County, is closing the tot lot, tennis courts and basketball court until further notice. Signs will be posted and a barrier placed around the tot lot and the entrance to the tennis courts. The actions by the county may also affect the timing of the pool opening.     Spring is just around the corner so the Meadows Buildings and Grounds committee is getting ready for the landscaping season to begin!     All Meadows residents are welcome to attend the next Buildings and Grounds (B&G) committee meeting on Wed., Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fairlington Community Center. The agenda is online.     New FAQ: Court Painting Schedule

    Did you know? There are frequently asked questions on the Meadows website. These FAQs have information about a variety of topics, from official business to interior remodeling, exterior changes,  parking, recycling, swimming pool and more. Most recently the board added a FAQ with the court painting schedule. Doors and trim are painted in all courts every four years. This year courts 12, 13, 1 and 2 will be painted beginning in the spring.
