Please join the Meadows Board in thanking our maintenance supervisor, Craig R. for eight years of service to our community. The event will be on the pool deck on Saturday, August 21 from 3-5 p.m.
The last scheduled day for the Meadows pool to be open is Sunday, August 15. As reported in the July Meadows Messenger, there is a critical shortage of lifeguards at this time. If the pool can be opened for limited amounts of time after 15 August through Labor Day, notices will be sent through TownSq and posted on Facebook.
The July 2021 Meadows Messenger is now available on the website. In response to community requests, the newsletter is also being printed and delivered to all Meadows residents. It was also posted on TownSq, our community’s news resource and emailed to the court chairs to distribute electronically to residents.
Tennis is a game that permits social distancing and we encourage all players to come out and enjoy our recently resurfaced courts! The following are reminders from the Meadows Tennis Committee. Please contact committee chair Ed Girovasi with any questions. May 1 was the start of reserved weekend play. The February 17 Meadows board meeting was focused on two presentations about the Meadows’ master insurance coverage: one from Meadows’ general counsel Kathleen Machado of Rees Broome about the general requirements for insurance per our governing documents, the other from Theresa Melson, USI Insurance Senior Vice President with additional details about insurance including H06 coverage. Many residents have requested temporary relaxing of the height restrictions on items in patios during the COVID-19 pandemic to allow for exercise equipment and temporary canopies/tents that extend above the fences to be allowed. The Board of Directors passed a resolution on January 20, 2021 to allow for these types of items. The full resolution is posted on the Meadows website under Documents/Policy Resolutions. Please note the trash and recycling collection schedule for the holiday weeks, including tree collection: Christmas Day- rescheduled to Saturday, 12/26/2020 New Year’s Day - rescheduled to Saturday, 1/2/2021 Recycling: scheduled for 12/23/20, 12/26/2020, and 1/2/2021 (buckets will be out in the mornings and picked up in the afternoons).
